I have had no real problems with vista... yeah if you put vista on your crappy old computer it is not going to work great....

Microsoft added quite a few security and licensing features which causes a lot of trouble for anyone working in graphic media. One program I have to use at work opens then shuts down immediately. I found out through a message board that if I simply changed the name of the .exe file, then Vista won't recognize it and it'll run. It worked. One of my biggest gripes about Microsoft (although Apple does this too now), is they try very hard to keep third party software companies from running on their OS without explicit permission...meaning Microsoft wants everyone to pay them a fee to 'allow' their software to run with the OS system. That's why Linux is such a welcome breath of fresh air. It's open source so anyone can design their software to run in Linux and they don't have to pay anybody to do so.

Well, I feel like a idiot... something was sitting on the end of my keyboard, pressing down the "Escape" key. Drag and Drop works now  Thanks everyone! Steven, one of your links actually led me to the answer, as someone there mentioned checking for a sticking "Escape" key :P

 At least you have the courage to own up to it!

Crashes too much and is a memory hog are the two things the hubby mentions often.
