I returned today and brought my BC and the passport with 1-94 and Visa.....i already applied and they will gonna send me the SSN in the mail....in 6weeks :huh: well, that is what the letter says but, they said its sooner than that. :blink: SO, do i need to file the EAD and AOS? .

* March 26,2008- Leave Philippines

* March 28,2008- POE GUAM....nice people...IMMIGRATION very accommodating...good ,friendly people

* March 28,2008 - Arrived Orlando, Florida

* April 02,2008- Apply SSN

* April 18,2008- BRIDAL SHOWER

* April 20,2008- Rcvd my SSN

* April 26,2008- MARRIAGE

* April 28,2008- Rcvd my Marriage Certificate Documents

* April 28,2008- Change my name to my married name SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE

* May 01,2008- Got 2 Bank Accounts

* May 05, 2008- Rcvd my SSN with my married name on it

* May 22,2008- Got 2 Credit Card Accounts approval

* May 23-28,2008- Visit Alabama,Mississippi and Louisiana

* May 31,2008 - Mailed my EAD- I-765

* June 04,2008 - Notice Date Rcvd

* June 09,2008 - NOA arrived (PROBLEM:My first name spelled incorrectly)

* Aug. 02, 2008- Rcvd a USCIS letter that they corrected the typo error

Fast Forward...

FEB 12,2011 - SUBMITTED I-751 APPLICATION TO VERMONT SERVICE CENTER

FEB 22,2011 - RECEIVED NOTICE OF ACTION ON I-751 APPLICATION

got my SSC a week after I applied...it still amazes me how fast we've been able to get everything in order (from NVC, etc)...just waiting for my driving skills test appointment now

11/30/07 ----- AOS fee bill received & paid

12/01/07 ----- DS 3032 mailed to NVC

12/03/07 ----- DS 3032 entered into the system; IV bill generated

12/10/07 ----- I-864 generated

12/12/07 ----- IV fee bill received & paid

12/17/07 ----- I-864 received and mailed back to NVC

12/20/07 ----- IV bill entered into the system

12/27/07 ----- DS 230 generated & mailed to NVC

12/28/07 ----- DS 230 received & signed 10:46AM at the NVC

As soon as you have your marriage certificate you can apply for AOS and EAD with or without the SSN. Goodluck

Yes, SSN has nothing to do with your immigration status.

No , u have to apply first the EAD if ur will not apply the AOS at the same time , u cant get SSN until u hve the EAD card. and the EAD fee is 340 , mine took 42 days from filling in vermont center , I also applied for SSN last friday in moss point mississippi , it said in my letter 2 wks. I guess it vary every state how long it would be received.

Thanks for the reply! I already filed my AOS and EAD a week ago...hope everything turns out well! Just wanted to know if i can get around the process hahaha! :thumbs:
