I thank the Pitcairn Island Forum for their kindness. And to all Pitcairnites, all 50 persons, give or take a few, of which 6 are the families of the pastor and schoolteacher from abroad! :D

It seems that some of the non-Russian group folks, who post here (all are welcome by the way) seem to have thin skins, no sense of humor, or both.

As a member of the Pitcairn Islands filers community, I take grave exception to that statement! I'm off to the Pitcairn Island forum now, and we shall return en masse to express our outrage and to demand an apology!

And oh yes, happy birthday DJefree. We may be outraged, but we Pitcairn Island filers are known for our politeness.

I meant no insult. As I said, "SOME" of the non-Russian group folks. I would like to append that to "With the exception of inhabitants of Pitcairn Island, Easter Island, The Isle of Wight, and some parts of New Jersey. You have my apologies!

I read an article about Pitcairn Island... It was disturbing, to say the least.

How's adjusting to the culture, Mox?

It's going GREAT! I'm currently learning Pitcairnese. It's an easy language to learn, but difficult to communicate in, as it's composed entirely of adverbs. No nouns or verbs or anything else, just adverbs. Also there is only one tense, the "past defective future imperative" tense. The alphabet has 72 characters, all identical.

I'm a little annoyed at "Pleasantly," my fiancee, right now. I keep trying to get her to go get her police certificate but because their language has no nouns all she knows is that she needs "quickly."

Thank you. What we lack with all the inbreeding and "the wheel" (we're *this* close to solving that particular problem! We just need to invent the noun first...), we more than make up for in kindly.

You had me laughing out loud on that one, Mox!!!!! Shades of Monty Python

I just noticed on that profile for "Olga" (who is Ukrainian but wearing a Brazilian-themed bikini or whatever that was) at the bottom it says her match should be "Loving. Energetic..... GOOD APPETITE!!!!"

Now that's what I'm talking about!

I'm impressed with your computer software that translates only adverbs into this full grammar email. Your computer programmers...inbreds and all, are quite impressive!

Yeah Slim, I thought you would notice that. However, I think Olga is very high maintenance.

Unless you have discount cards for Krispy Kreme, McDonalds, KFC, and many others her monthly maintenance cost could be in the four figure range.

Not to mention how much her Ballet lessons must cost!

From what I can tell, she'd be no trouble to "maintain" at all with her present gig... international bikini modeling. I heard she also moonlights as, well, moonlight by blocking the sun during ....... ok, that went a little too far. I can't poke fun at her just because of how she chooses to earn a living.

I have decided that I cannot go through this entire process.

There are too many hurdles to overcome; the language barrier, the cultural differences, the expense, to name just a few.

I swore that after my ex-wife abandoned us, I would never have a relationship with another American girl. I was acting rashly and thought that Russia held the answer. Oh well, live and learn!

Agreed, how ironic.
