hi VJs

im new here and hoping can get some info. and help regarding my situation rightnow. im here in US for k1 visa. it will be expired this coming MAY..but then our plan changed because my fiance will be in Philippines due to business matters and it will be for 4-6 months time or if everything will be ok. it will be for good. my problem rightnow is that we are planning to leave US soon maybe within tis week or nextweek and we are thinking if we just go get married in phil.? and plan to file a k3 visa so to make sure if everything doesnt work out for us there like the business, i can still go back in US using k3 visa..the question is how long again will it take to file this? knowing we are the same couple who has all the proofs for k1 fiance visa all we need is to upgrade it and add more proofs specialy the wedding details etc.? and can we file this k3 visa in Phil.? although we are both there in P.I? how? because what ive read is that my fiance needs to file it again in USCIS but how can we do this if we are in Phil.? is there a place for us in Phil to file this VISA application?

i am in confusion rightnow...we dont know what will happen tomorrow or to the future but all we know is that we want to be together always...whenever, wherever. i hope you guys can lighten up my load by giving suggestions and advises.

thank you to all and god bless us all

K-3 takes just as long if not longer than K-1 to process, so remember how long the K-1 took, and that is how long K-3 will take to get.

Note if US citizen is resident in the Philippines for 6 months or longer, then you could just file the I-130 directly to Manila for a CR-1 visa, this is quicker than virtually all the other visas.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

You don't upgrade to K3. You withdraw the I-129F you filed for a fiance and begin the process again for K3 by filing an I-130 and a new I-129F. See the K3 guide.
