Hello VJ Team,

NVC should be requesting me for I-864 Paperwork in about 1-2 weeks. I have mostly prepared but I was hoping VJ'ers could look over my list and bless it so to speak or let me know if I am missing anything from past experiences or topics etc. Also, does the I-864 form itself need to be notarized?

(This is for my I-130 CRI/IR1 process, spouse of US Citizen and the case is with NVC now)

I-864 Affidavit of Support

o 3 Year W-2 - DONE

o 3 Year Tax Returns – DONE

o IRS 3 Year Transcripts – DONE

o 3 Pay Stubs – DONE

o Letter From Employer – DONE

Appreciate all Feedback in advance - Surendra

I-864 doesn't have to be notarized. In addition to the barcode cover sheet, look like you're very well set. I use I-864EZ instead and only include tax transcripts for simplicity even though I still keep Federal Tax Returns and W2's for previous years. Here's my preprared list:

  • Coversheet with barcode
  • Form I-864EZ
  • 2007 Federal Tax Return and W2 (including Form 1099's)
  • 2006 Tax Transcript
  • 2005 Tax Transcript
  • Employment letter
  • Pay stubs from the most recent six months
