Hi all, just a quick question. Me and my husband petitioning my daugther who is 14 years old. Can we use james shortcut for her case? And also are we going to be automaticaly the choise of agent and all the paperworks come to us instead to my daughter since she is only minor? Or do we have to send an email to NVC requesting that we would like to receive all future letters form them? Please advice. anybody in similar situation please share your experience with us pretty please.

I'm petitioning for my nonUSC husband, we have our NVC# but I have not heard message that DS3032 was generated....however, we already sent email requesting that I become Choice of Agent....did I send this email too early? Was I supposed to wait til DS3032 was generated? husband received auto-response email from NVC after he sent his letter.

Yes you did. You always have to wait for the NVC (automated system or live person) to say that X document has been generated. Otherwise, they get confused of why you sent it in and it will delay your process. Wait a couple of weeks to find out if they reply to you, if they don't it's probably because they ignored your e-mail. Also, keep calling the NVC to find out when it was generated, when they say they did, send the e-mail again.

You have to let the NVC know who you want the COA to be. E-mail them as soon as they say the DS-3032 has been generated.

Marlita, please update how's your case going and when the CoA has been accepted. If it works, I'll also plan on sending an email early even though DS3032 Choice of Agent has not been generated (2 weeks after case number is assigned). There has been a known case where DS3032 was sent and accepted before DS3032 was generated on the system but it was about changing from a laywer to petitioner as an agent, not from beneficiary to petitioner. Good luck!
