Hey all!

I am currently living in Guatemala with my fiance and will not return to the US till the 16th of April... but I want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible!!!

I don´t know if I should wait the 3 weeks till I return to send in all the completed packet, or risk a less than reliable and often slow mailing system of Guatemala?

Is there anything I can do in the meantime? Anything that the US Consulate in Guatemala can do with our case  , or is the USIC in Vermont (where I would be mailing it to) the only option?

Any suggestions from others that are in similar situations???

Thanks for all your help!!! You guys are great!

You can at least download the forms and start filling them out. The biographic information forms will need your fiance(e)'s signature. You will also need to get a statment of intent. Do what you can while you're there with the forms and getting the photos done, but unfortunately you would not be able to go thru the US Embassy directly as your application will need to be processed by USCIS first. Below is the link to instructions/ forms for the K-1 Visa. best wishes!
