:ot: School is killing me. just finished setting up Server 2003 and can't be able to get RDP to work. i know we have some nerds in here. I can feel it. anyway, if you have done it in the past and it worked for you let me know. I already tried port forwarding through my router and it is not working. :ot:

December 28-----NVC send to US embassy in Ethiopia

January 8---------US embassy in Ethiopia will recieve

February 7 -------Interview

February 7 -------Passed interview

February 12------VISA in hand

February 22------IN the USA

March 1-----------Wedding

March 15----------Sent AOS

July 7 -------------Finger Print

January 27, 2009--Green card approved without interview. It took almost one year though.

Feb 2 -------------Got the green card in the mail

Next: playing the waiting game for the 2 years holding removal

Wish I could say that I can help you, but I am actually SITTING in the Microsoft India GTSC, and as you can see, we don't have the right infrastructure to help... ;)

Actually, I really am sitting in Microsoft India GTSC (It is in Bangalore, not Bombay), but I am not a techie... My hubby is a Tech Lead with the CORE team (Server Setup), I can ask him for help if you are really desperate. Any details he should know? :)

Man, I feel like I need to take pictures of the building so you can see what it is really like!

Received Email Confirmation of Interview Date on March 5th: April 3rd!

SUCCESS - VISA APPROVED ON APRIL 3RD!! :) :)

POE Detroit - May 19, 2008

Applied for SSN: June 5th - Received Card: June 12th

Received Green Gard: June 12th

Driver's License: July 28th

Move to St. Louis/Ritesh starts his job: August 5th

To start with, make sure you can connect to RDP from within the network. If that works, then its an issue with port forwarding, RDP uses port 3389.

If that doesnt work, then RDP is not on, or blocked by a software firewall on the server.

Thanks for the feedback. BUT

IT is on my home server, and I did allow port 3389 on my firewall. I already set up the RDP port 3389 on the router. I can't even connect to RDP within my network.

India is great! Where are you going to be for Juniper? (India is as diverse in climate, food, customs, spoken languages, etc. as Europe.) September should be a fairly nice time to come as far as weather goes, we are moving into summer right now and it is getting hot and sticky. Of course, early monsoon storms are making it cooler, but stickier!

India is great! Where are you going to be for Juniper? (India is as diverse in climate, food, customs, spoken languages, etc. as Europe.) I will be going to Yelahanka to train people in the Reva college. I don't know if you know that college or the city
