Hi all

I met this pakastani guy on internet on a dating site. We r in love n close enough and know a lot each other that we decided to marry. Problem is, i cant go to meet him as i have my lil ones, 5 yrs old n 3 yrs old, n i have job here and to take care of my lil ones.

Please tell me how should i answer this question, as it requires to meet in person.

I am very confused. As i found this man answer to my prayers n i want him to be here with me in US.

As others have told you, as a practical matter, you must meet in person. I highly recommend against a third country if at all possible to avoid. Learning about family and the other party's life now, is very useful in the decision making process. A vacation together lacks "reality".

I agree with Mike and others, it is not only practical but required as part of the petition process (K1 I'm assuming). I also highly recommend that you have many photos of you with him and his family.

Good Luck!

Pictures are good, as are additional visits between the initial one and the visa interview. By "as a practical matter" I simply meant to indicate it's impractical to rely on the "exceptions" to the requirement.

Remember you have at least two relationship hurdles to provide evidence about. The first is meeting in person. The second is a bona fide ongoing relationship. You should also be aware and prepared for the fact that the level of evidence standard applied for middle eastern cases is quite high due to 9/11 and high fraud from these areas.
