What originals to bring for the interview in mtl ?

You need originals of all documents, plus photocopies so you can get your originals back. If you don't have originals, I believe certified copies will do.

I had to show the originals of my now husband's divorce papers and his birth certificate. The interviewer had concerns about one of the divorce documents - it was from Texas in the 70s - as he had never seen one like it before, so he took the original back to his colleagues and the group concensus was that it was indeed valid. If I had only had a copy I am sure I would have had an RFE at the interview for the original.

What about the copy of his passport ? (i think it's just fine to keep it as normal copy) but still i wonder.

Also what is the modified letter of intent for the interview, can someone send me something about it ?

No, you don't need his passport especially if you have his birth certificate. My then fiance wrote a second letter of intent basically stating that yes, he was still eligible to marry me, and yes he still intended to marry me, and yes we would get married within 90 days of my arrival in the US. Hehehe, he was rather emphatic on his 'yes' comments - it was very sweet. Basically, the Consulate just wants to ensure that your fiance is still in agreement with your plans to get married.
