Hey everyone,

Just out of curiosity, are denials of a K-1 Visa common? What are some of the reasons, or rather most common reasons for denials? I'm wth my fiancee in Thailand right now, have been here two months, and are going back home soon and it's about that time where she starts to get really sad/worries about the visa/misses me so I just want to be able to post this and get some feedback so she can read it and feel a little better. Also, does anyone know how difficult the interview part is with the US embassy in BKK? I know theres a thread for Thailand but EVERY TIME I try to use it it says Im not a user and when I try to register (EVEN THOUGH I AM A MEMBER( it says registration is closed.

I know we won't have problems about proof of relationship because I've spent 9 out of the last 12 months here in Thailand with her haha.

Thanks a lot guys

She certainly should not worry about denial until that happens. Many people are successful with their K1 petitions. Remind her to think positive & such will happen. My heart goes out to her though. Best of luck to both of you!

Show her the many success stories posted here each day. Remind her to be positive & such shall happen! Best of luck to both of you!

Hello there, You should not have a problem getting it approved just check over your paper work 10 times until you are sure about it. I read on a site once your petition is approved it can not be denied at the embassy it can only be delayed from embassy and sent back to uscis for revaluation.

They say the it is very unlikely to get sent back to uscis unless your paperwork is not in order or at ther inteview they think the relationship is false.

After hearing this news I was happier to read this news about that, now that makes me work harder to get everything right so I have no problems.
