i am us citizen. my wife is Indian citizen.

i got married in India i stayed there for 1 months. i came back to the states and filed for I-130 at Vermont service center. on 2-25-08. and i am waiting on Notice of Receipt from INS.

i was reading that lately the processing times for i-130 is faster than K-30 Visa.

i just want know did i do everything right ???

according to some VJ k-3 got tire to I-130

but if you dont waste money adjusting status file i-130. that is good start. now follow the shortcut VJ give it will guide you in the right track

You are on the CR1 visa path. At the moment, the K3 visa appears no longer viable. I would not start down that path at this time. There's lots of discussion on this in the K3 forum if you're interested in reading it.

You don't lose anything by filing I-129F for K-3 after getting I-130 Receipt Notice. There is no fee for that. Now-a-days, I-129F approvals take same or more time than I-130 approval. But we never know the situation after a couple of months time. Cheers :thumbs:

Feb 4,2007 - I-130 accepted > Get USCIS case Number NOA1.

May 8 ,2007- GET NVC Case Number > NOA2.

June 16 ,2007- Get Order from NVC to pay 70$.

July 2 ,2007- Get DS-3032 in India.

July 7,2007 - DS-3032 choice of address agent entered in NVC.

July 14 ,2007- Get I-864.

July 18 ,2007- I-864 Enters NVC.

July 29 ,2007- Get Order to Pay 380$ fee.

Aug 3 ,2007- 380$ Fee Reached St Louis.

Aug 25,2007 - NVC & St Louis People receive photocopy of my payment with USPS receipt.

After WAITING for 37 days.

Sept 10,2007 - 380$ fee encashed.

File I-130 first wait for NOA 1 before u file for k3.........

Are you going through armenia consulate?? you need to mail application to chicago lock box not vermont directly ........go through instructions carefully...and ask vj'rs help :help::help::help::help:

Due to the fee increase , there is lot of backlog in cases. It depends on embassy which your wife is applying form too.

that what i did i send it to Chicago lock box. it was received at Chicago lock box on 2-27-25

Brother I am petitioning I-130 the Immigration form and when they sent me a receipt notice I-797C that they recieved my I-130 I then filed my Fiance visa I-129F it is used for a fiance and a K3 to bring a spouse quicker (something like a visitor visa I think you can consider it that for the spouse to wait in usa with u for the I-130 approve) My both cases got approved in the same day 2 weeks ago it's almost 9 Months waiting time. I got an RFE (REquest for Evidence) they asked for my biographic data for me and my spouse and passport photos for both of us before they approved our case. After 6 months waiting time You should get your senator office involved in your case. after 9 months they approved my both cases and my spouse will be comming on K3 visa to the USA. His forms were in the NVC center then after 1 week it went to the embassy I called the NVC they gave me a confirmation number and now waiting for monday to contact the embassy. Well that's my journey pretty much summed up for you maybe it will be easier for you! God with you.
