I receive a letter by the immigration saying to come at a specific date. I already had my interview at the immigration when i was younger, me and my mom got approved. She got her green card and i was stuck in name check and CIA security clearance. We asked so many times and they said that i was pending. 3 months ago i applied for EAD and got it, i also applied for a social security and got it(maybe that triggered something who knows?). Well anyways after 4 years of waiting after being approved at the interview i get this letter. A notice for an interview saying i will be taped and that i should bring my passport and other information. So is this going to be my big day or am i going to be put in another pending for a couple more years?

My mother is married to an American, don't know if thats any useful information. I don't know what kind of questions they are going to ask me.

I think you may need to offer more detail on your situation. What visa did you enter on? How old were you? How old are you now? Is it a call for an interview, or for biometrics?

For general information, they seem to be clearing very old cases now based on a new workflow (ie: those pending FBI namecheck). The note about being taped in on every interview letter, I wouldnt worry about that.

The letter says:

please come to the office shown below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter.

Office location: x

Date and time: x

Officer:

Reason for appointment: Application for adjustment of status

This interview will be video taped.

Please bring all items that are checked(x) to the interview.

(x) This letter, your passport, your I-94(Arrival/Departure form), if any.

It is likely to be a Green Card interview. At least it's something. Bring what they ask, plus like LaL said, bring all other documents from your AOS application.

It might just be that your name cleared and because it's been a while they are doing a new interview. Hard to tell... Good luck though.
