sent in 129F application this month, but I might have to do an expat assignment in the UK

Hi everyone,

I've submitted my 129F application about 2 weeks ago. Check has been cashed, and now is just waiting for the next step. However, at work, I learned today that I might have to do an expatriate assignment in the UK for a year. My fiancee is from Romania, so the good news is that she could come and stay with me in the UK. However, I wondered what would happen to the 129F application? What would be the best way to continue the process? I was thinking she could fly back to Romania, do the interview, but then once she gets the visa, how long does she have to wait to come to the usa? Can we stall the process, or is there a better way to handle this situation? The expat assigment is a 70% chance it might happen so I just wanted to find out what my options are to help me decide if to take it or not.

Once she gets the K1 visa she has up to 6 months to enter the country.

You can stall the interview too, indefinitely if you have a good enough excuse. It's probably not going to be a problem delaying it long enough for your assignment to end.

Thanks....does anybody know if there is a time frame we have to schedule the interview once that step arrives?
