Hi Everyone!

My fiance dances in Jamaica at a resort. The hotel is getting rid of their dance team and now he is in need of a job. He is there on a work permit, so he is legal. Does anyone know of any job he can do while we wait for our interview?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Take care,

Marcela

LaPrincesa,

Can he get a job in a hotel doing some other type of work besides dancing. Not sure how easy it will be since he may not have experience. There are many jobs to get besides the hotel industry, but it takes a while and you need some good experience or education. How long will he be in JA?

Jobs are not easy to come by.

The good news is Spring Break is just around the corner......this is one of the better times of the year to look for a job in JA.

I'd say just start calling/go to the hotels and applying.

Entertainment co-ordinator might work for him.

Tell him to apply to the Riu group of hotels, they are run by mainly managers from the Dominican Republic...

Yes, and they love to hire their own. My cousin's girlfriend is from DR. Came to visit him and got a job. She wasn't even looking. Was at a gas station in Ocho and ran into the sales director at the RIU in Ocho and he told her to come in. Great idea English.

A lot of DRs in Jamaica later. At least what I notice on my last visit.
