Clarification on where to file AOS

Hello everybody! I've been out of circulation for quite some time and just wanted to clarify if ALL applications for AOS should be submitted to Chicago. Priorly, I have read over the AOS guide that applicants from Dallas, El Paso, Oklahoma can file in their local office but just recently found out from the USCIS web site an announcement effective July of 2007 that ALL applications be submitted to the national mailbox (Chicago). Just wanted to know from other members who are from the mentioned areas where they send their applications. Any information would greatly be appreciated.
