When going for the medical you have to have your immunization records with you. Where can you get that from your Doctor or are there other shots you need to have done before you go to your medical??

Hi Stacey!

You can take your vaccination record from your Doctor or any other source, for instance if you had your initial shots at a public health clinic.

Have a look here for what we know to be required:

http://panelphysicians.com/Pages/Immunizations.htm

If you don't have a record of some of these vaccinations it would be a good idea to go to your doctor and request a titre test - specifically for any you are missing on your records. If you think you may not have had a vaccination for any of these and the titre test does not show immunity, you should have the vaccination(s) done by your Dr - as it will cost less or nothing.

It has been confirmed that there may be other vaccinations required, it has changed recently and that page may not reflect it - however it gives you something to start with.

If you are female, between 11 and 26 years of age, you will also need to get Gardasil. As soon as someone gets a new list of the vaccinations required they are going to post it here.

Welcome!

Hi! You can request your immunization record from public health.

I'm sure every doctor is different, but I went to Woking Medical in Vancouver and they told me that I only needed to have the Mumps, Measles, Rubella vaccine and the tetanus shot within 10 years. ( I was surprised by this because I was expecting to have to have a few shots). The rest, they marked "not age appropriate." Call the doctor and ask them which are necessary for your age category.

Some provinces Public Health only hold immunization records for 25 yrs. I requested mine in N.S. and was told this
