Interview next march

FINALLY my wife and I heard about my interview... it's scheduled for March 18 in Casablanca, Morocco. What can we anticipate? What expenses should i expect? If all goes well, will i granted my Visa that day?

Also, anyone have any suggestions for my physical? Iam healthy, takes no meds... i have my vaccination record but it's hard to read, not sure exactly what's on there. Should he go ahead and get as many vaccisnations as i can before the physical, and bring the recorded proof? OR should i wait until the physical? How much will the physical cost?

First of all, congratulations on getting your interview scheduled. Good luck! As for what to anticipate, there are a couple of threads dealing w/ interviews in Casa specifically. It is *doubtful* that you will get your visa that day - usually you are looking at 2 weeks- 8 or 9 months of administrative processing where they will do background checks on you.

You should receive a package soon from the consulate w/ instructions for preparation for your interview. You will receive a list of approved doctors to administer your medical. They will also do your vaccinations. Please retain a copy of these and have them translated as you will also need that in the USA. The doctor will then also give you a *sealed* envelope - DO NOT OPEN THIS!!!! It should cost about $100 USD. My info may be a little off as my husband did this over a year ago. I'm sure others will chime in w/ some answers for you as well.

Again, good luck and if you read the instructions sent w/ your package you should have no problems.

You are right, you might have to wait 9-18 months for it.

Agree with the others...AP is often shorter through Casablanca, but there is a chance of an extended wait.

Anyone else here can give Ali advice what to expect? He's a good man and is needing support. What kind of questions are asked? Maybe someone post a link for him. Thx

Yes they can and unfortunately do ..... my husband and I waited just over 5 months. The problem is the security clearance - which is done by an outside agency (who takes their sweet time and are flooded with cases)..... I dont want to rain on your parade but it is the truth.

I wish you luck on your interview and a speedy AP (or security clearance) if applicable.

I REALLY WANT TO MENON THAT OUT OF WHOLE PROCESS OF GETTING VISA THE INTERVIEW IS 10 %.I DONT WANT ANY ONE GET STRESSED OUT ABOUT THE INTERVIEW .IT IS ALL ABOUT THE PAPERWORK AND HOW MUCH PERFECTLY YOU'VE DONE IT.THE COUNSIL WILL JUST ASK YOU YOUR NAME AND EASY QUESTION ,IF THE INTERVIEW WAS THAT MUCH IMPORTANT I WOULD NOT GET MY VISA BECOZ THE COUNSIL DID NOT LIKE ME AT ALL AND IF IT WAS HIS DECISION HE WOULD NEVER GIVE ME MY VISA

I'm not sure how much any of this matters, but my sweet husband Ali forgot to mention a couple of things. We are applying for a CR-1 Visa not a fiancee visa and I actually lived in Morocco for 6 months. There should be no question as to the validity of our marriage and we have tons of pics to prove the length of time I was there. I left for health and financial reasons and intended to remain in Morocco forever. In terms of finances, I made plenty of money the 3 years prior to my leaving for Morocco, but because I didn't work for 6 months my brother graciously co-sponsored Ali for this Visa.

Anyway, please wish us the best. We were not together for our first wedding anniversary and we have been miserable apart.
