Hello All,

I need some major help and time is of the essence. My wife has kidney disease and her kidneys is functioning at 7 %. Her only hope of a transplant soon is to get her sister out her. The hospital said most Medical Visa's that are petitioned for family members from the Philippines are denied.

What I need to know is what exactly is the Visa called? And if anyone has any information that will help.

Thanks for your time.

I am guessing that maybe contacting the US Embassy in Manila would be where you need to start. In googling this (it's not easy to find anything on this) it suggests that for other countries, one would need a B2 visitors visa to enter for medical treatment. Since your wife's sister would be coming to donate a kidney, I'm wondering if this falls into the same category as coming to the US for medical treatment.

I certainly hope you find out the answer...and may God bless your wife. (F)
