In your opinion, will I be good to go on the financial support aspect of the visa process?

A summary of what I will be providing:

1) my last 3 years tax returns

2) my notarized I-134 showing $17,000, dated April 2007 (almost a year old)

3) As a cosponsor, my dad will file a I-134, and the ONLY thing he will show is that he owns a house worth approx. 900 grand. He will not show any bank account information and he will not show any tax returns

Thanks in advance

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

I have a correction to #2. There is $8,000 notarized but it also shows yearly income of $15,000. My SO has the papers so I got mixed up since it has been so long.

Let me see if I have this straight. Your I-134 shows income of $15,000 and assets of $8000. If so, that's worth $17, 667 in income, so it's enough for a household of two. If I were you I would send an updated one before the interview and make sure to document the $8,000 cash is still on deposit.

That father's I-134 would be unlikely to be considered if it is incomplete. How were you documenting the $900k equity in the home?

That is where the problem is. (A) I am at $400 in the bank to date and ( B ) I am unemployed right now [in school full time]

Then I would say you're going to need a complete affidavit from a co-sponsor with full supporting documentation. I'm afraid it takes quite a bit more than a wink and a smile to satisfy the public charge concerns.
