I filed an I-130 but do not meet the income requirements as I'm a student and have no job. We are already using my husbands income even thought he is not in the US and is a UK Citizen, his job in england will be documented to continue past when he moves here. My mom gets SSDI that is more than the amount I need to meet the affidavit of support requirement but can I use it if she sponsors? If so, why kind of records should I use, just the Tax Forms for the past years, etc?

Income is income, so yes, your mother can act as sponsor. (You must also submit an I-864.) I would include a copy of her approval notice for the SSDI if you have it but full tax returns with the associated income documentation or preferrably IRS tax transcripts will do.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
