Hi!

I need some help! I came to the US via L-1 transfer from England to the office in the US. My husband dated three years but the L-1 Visa was very fast. I got it within a month.

Now that we are married in the US, I am going to apply for adjustment of status. Do I need to fill in I-765 for Employment authorization?

I think the following forms my husband and I need to fill in. Can someone confirm if I got all the forms or if I miss any?

I130 Form Petition

I485 Adjustment of status

I325A Bio for my husband

I325A Bio for me

I765 Employment Authorisation

I864 Affidavit

I 131 Travel document

Thanks for your help!

Kris

I'm hoping somebody more knowledgeable will reply. As I understand it, any L or H visa becomes invalid as soon as you submit an I-765. You can keep your L1 visa and just file for AOS. Your L1 can continue to serve as your authorization to work and to travel overseas.

But, as I premised in my reply, I am not very sure about this. I suggest that you do more searching on VJ regarding your situation before filing the I-765 and I-131.
