Question on DS-156k (K-1)

Does DS-156K needs to be hand written at New Delhi Embassy? I have the pre printed DS-156K form with bar code ready to go from my attorney, but I was told by embassy staff to hand write. The forms embassy sent me does not have any bar code.

If I have to hand write this form:

1) What should I do with bar code.

2) If the answer yes, what should I write on the question, if these forms are prepared by any one else other than you then the preparers's signature.

Any one who recently submitted DS-156K at New Delhi please help.

You get the bar code if you fill-in the form online and then take a print out.

I just submitted the form with the barcode at the Chennai consulate and had no issues.

If someone else prepared the form for you, just fill out that section with their name and get their signature.
