Daniel will be with me during my interview  As far as I know, he will not be allowed to be with me though  Is there any way to let the Consular Officer know for definate that he is outside. I read somewhere that carrying Daniel's passport along with mine is a good way of letting them know that he is with me. Will that :help: ??

I sent an email to the consulate, they said , although the department usually does not allow anyone to come with the interviewew that it is up to the security whether they let you in or not(depending on how many people are in the building). If security lets you in, they have no concerns.

I guess if everyone brought someone in, then the room would be packed...

From what I understand.. mostly from other posts...

It seems.. that if the US Citizen shows his/her US passport they are normally allowed.. It has been misunderstood that as a Citizen it is our right to gain entrance.. but for security reasons.. there is always reaons for denial.. Usually... showing your passport normally allows you entrance..

If you know how everyone in the family goes with someone to the embassy.. this is one reason why they must limit who is allowed.. however.. how many of the persons standing in line with someone waiting for their interview.. are actually citizens... rarity.. thus.. you being a US Citizen... naturally is not the norm.. = allowed entrance

Your fiance should be allowed to attend the interview. After all, he is the petitioner. Yes, I would have him bring his passport to show the security guards.
