u can buy any folder or envelope you want coz it won't be asked from you. You will just put/file your papers for easy access when the pre-screener asks any of it.

E.g. the pre-screener asks for the ITR, you don't need to give the folder, just get it(ITR) from your file and that's it. Same thing with the other proofs.

ohh, so you gave the documents without the folder?!!

my fiance used a puncher on the left margin of our I-134 form and then used a vinyl fastener to secure it in a transparent folder. oh no....

now the form has holes on the left margin, is this ok? maybe its just me being paranoid, but do you think we have to redo our I-134?

yes, i did. I just took out from my folder what was asked for and it was fine. I just even used stapler for documents containing 2 or more pages and added a small piece of paper on top for the label (e.g. compiled and stapled the reciepts, emails etc.)

(I just noticed this Q and can't edit my first post)

For the DS-forms and I-134, I just used paper clips(smaller ones).

I think it will be fine as long as it doesn't affect the infos written on that paper.

During my interview, the pre-screener asks the documents one at a time. The tabs and the labels of the folders that I work so hard to organize didnt matter at all. She only asked to remove 5 pictures in the album that I brought which is like half an inch thick.

that's why I didn't bring album or paste the pics on the paper coz of this...whatta life  glad we're done

Hi... I went to Target today to buy a notebook or a binder to put the evidence in there. I couldn't really find anything that is flexible enough. I ended up getting a 1/2 inch three ring binder.. Is this okay? I read somewhere that it has be small enough so it can go through the window when we get to the embassy.. Or does anyone have any idea where I should buy one? I tried going to Office Depot didn't find anything... Please let me know

Thank you everyone.

When i went to my interview all my forms were really in order with all the plastic separates and fillers and different folders for different forms..Although it's good to be always prepared and handy with all your forms and wanted it to be neat and in order..i found out you don't really need to place all your forms in plastic separates and fillers..Just put same forms in one folder don't bind it or staple it..they will ask for a specified form so it's good to know where you placed each form for easy access. Here is an example:

APPOINTMENT LETTER AND DS FORMS ALL IN ONE FOLDER.DO NOT STAPLE OR BIND FOR EASY ACCESS.

the appointment letter you would have to keep with you all throughout the interview.keep it handy should in case they ask for it.DS forms should be in order- DS-156K, DS-156 (WITH BARCODE AND PICTURE ATTACHED ALREADY), DS-157 validated from the bank, DS-156 Second Copy (WITH BARCODE AND PICTURE ATTACHED ALREADY) and DS-157 Second Copy ( Not validated )

MAIN DOCUMENTS( ORIGINAL COPIES ) LIKE AUTHENTICATED BIRTH CERTIFICATE, NBI CLEARANCE, POLICE CLEARANCE ( if needed ) and CENOMAR ALL IN ONE FOLDER.AGAIN DO NOT STAPLE OR BIND FOR EASY ACCESS..

During my prescreening interview the only bounded form i gave her is my Form I-134 Affidavit of Support. For the INCOME TAX RETURNS, she only asked for the recent one which was 2006 and 2007.

The prescreener did not asked for my compiled photos. She only told me to flip through the pages while she's looking. I was actually on my second page when she told me it's fine.

During the interview, they will also have with them the compiled forms your fiances/fiancees have submitted before. So, if your fiances/fiancees have compiled a complete info before including pics and other proofs of relationship..they won't ask for all the forms and proofs you have.BUT IT IS STILL BEST TO HAVE ALL YOUR PAPERS AND PROOFS READY..should in case they wanted to ask for more

Goodluck! I hope this info helps in a way.

Mayeth went to WalterMArt. We had a report cover (no Binder/rings). That keeps them together and dry. She bought little paper clasps. She punched holes in the paper, then put the clasps through, and opened the clasp to keep it in place. The paper bends in the middle length-ways and in half...>VERY flexable!!!!!!!!!
