Gathering Documents/Information for AOS

Hello!

So, I'm currently filing for a K1 visa with my fiance. The next step is returning packet 3 and his interview, so hopefully he'll be here soon :)

Anyways, in the process of gathering information for the K1 visa, there were times when I didn't know that I needed something and it ended up delaying the process while we waited for documents.

I'm hoping to file for the AOS as soon as possible after my fiance arrives and we get married, but I'm just wondering, is there anything that I should start gathering now? Anything that I need to request that might take a while to get to me? Like, what does it mean a certified copy of mine and my co-sponsor's birth certificates. Should I be requesting those from somewhere now?

Thanks for your help!

those are not needed for your then spouse to apply for AOS. only the applicant's birth certificate is submitted with the I-485. hopefully you still have NOA2 from the I-129f. a copy of it needs to be submitted with AOS.
