I agree with "people come & go".

If you like the people enough on 1st job to work with them, I would go for the 1st job.

Good luck!

thanks everyone !! I really do value your opinions. The comments about people "coming and going" are absolutely correct and the benefits are truly wonderful compared to the norm. I will accept tomorrow !!! :D

It wouldn't be a major aerospace company would it?

Those benefits look remarkably similar to mine.......

No - its a technical non-profit. They have a presence in Europe and have adopted the European standard for benefits.

Euro standards? I've been getting these benefits for the past 10 years and as far as I know their pretty much the norm in the aerospace industry....

One downside is that we recently ended the pension for employees and transitioned to a "cash balance" benefit, which frankly is far better for younger people than the pension........

I'm in insurance and my employer used to give a defined benefits pension program + the 401k. We still get to keep the 401k but the defined benefits pension has been replaced with a program that puts cash in an account every 6 months using a formula based on my age and base salary. When my employment terminates (for any reason) I can either take a cash withdrawal OR i can elect to let it grow with the rest of the fund and take annuity payments when I hit 65.

Is that anything like the cash balance program you're referring to?

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
