I have been trying unsuccessfully to call dos for three days now. The past two days I'd get the message that all operators are busy and that I should call back at a later time and then I get disconnected. Today it says they are closed. Is it some sort of federal holiday today? What's up with all the phone traffic? I've never had this happen before in the 6 months I've been calling them. :help:

I got through today...I called...they've been busy...I've had busy signals for 3 days at both NVC and DOS...

I hear you bridget!! I called today at 11:30 (cause in the recording i heard that they close wednesdays at 12). Sooooooo it said, aproximate waiting time would be 5 minutes...i waited and waited and when it got to the 15 minute mark, the phone rang, but then i was on hold again, and waited and waited and waited 30 minutes :ranting: . And then got the sweet recording that they were closed and to call tomorrow!!

This whole process has drained me to the point where i'm just sick and tired of calling and emailing! If these people felt 1% of the pain we go through during all this, they would be in the looney bin!

I'm sure that if the embassy and DOS keep this up, I will have one foot in "The Home"!!

....I know I need to just shake this off and try and stay positive, but I needed to get this out, or i'll go completely nuts.

God help us pleeeeeeeeeease. If we have to wait for whatever amount of time, pleeeeease give us the strength to endure it, and make us more patient. Ameen.

I love you all,

Ayesha (F)

I only hope I can be as strong as you and others before me have been when my ap gets to be as long as yours is. :(

I normally call once a week. I don't know why, I just do. Doesn't make a lick of difference but makes me feel like I've done *something*.
