I am so excited and still can't fathom how quick this process has gone. I read Edwin & Mary's post about moving up the interview appointments and it worked. THank YOU! I wanted to inform all of you that I was able to change my fiance's appointment from May 28, 2008 to February 5th, 2008. Initially, I called the 1-800 number to schedule the interview and I asked if there were any other dates available and it was a resounding NO. I waited 5 minutes, called back and thank goodness I got another operator. I told the operator I had called the Interest Section and was aware of earlier appointments. She checked and she told me February 5th. I almost fell out of my chair! The point is that one can keep calling to inquire if there are cancellations for scheduled appointments in order to move up the interview appointment (this is what the operator advised me).

Thank you all for your informative postings, they have definitely made this process much easier.
