When exactly to file

Okay, to my knowledge, you can file I-751 anytime from 90 days before the second anniversary of the greencard. Doesn't that mean as long as we can file anytime within 90 days (could be 60 days, 30 days, as long as not after the card expires)?

I called the immigration office, and was told I have to file it exactly 90 days before the card expires, no more and no less

You must have been talking to the "misinformation line". They actually know less than your average person going through the immigration processes because they are just people at a call centre, and not actually USCIS staff.

You can apply ANYTIME after the 90 days before the 2nd anniversary of the original GC, not EXACTLY 90 days before.

As long as the packet is received by the service center before the expiration of your 2 year conditional card, you are good to go. 90 days before the expiration of your green card is the EARLIEST you can send it in.

Thanks!! That's also what I thought, those people on the line could be so confusing and ignorant at the same time. I wouldn't answer this question if I didn't know for sure!
