Hello Tanjay, you can read this post...

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1474145

I remember Cherry&John mentioned that they met in Cherry Blossoms and she was approved just this first week of January. So I guess, it doesn't really matter at all where the couple meet as long as a concrete evidence of the relationship can be provided.

THE K-1 PROCESS

June 27, 2007: Receipt Notice Date

October 29, 2007: Petition is APPROVED! :-)

December 10, 2007: Case received at NVC

December 12, 2007: Case is forwarded to US Embassy!

January 2, 2008: Pay Delbros for Document Verification

January 8, 2008: CFO Seminar

January 23-24, 2008: Early Medical (Original Sched is Feb. 1, 2008)

February 8, 2008: Interview Date (6:30AM)

February 15, 2008: Received Visa :-)

February 27, 2008: Fly to USA... POE: JFK - New York... :-)

March 14, 2008: Applied for SSN

April 18, 2008: Wedding Day :-)

THE AOS PROCESS

May 13, 2008: Sent AOS docs to USCIS including EAD and AP

May 15, 2008: Package was delivered!

May 21, 2008: Check was cashed!

May 20, 2008: Notice Date for AOS, EAD, & AP

May 24, 2008: Received All 3 NOA's in the mail

May 26, 2008: All 3 cases available online (at National Benefit Center or MSC)

June 12, 2008: Biometric Appointment (USCIS Raleigh - Durham, NC)

June 12, 2008: AOS and EAD touched!

July 19, 2008: AP Approved! Approval is sent!

July 22, 2008: Approval status available online!

July 26, 2008: AP received in the mail!

July 28, 2008: EAD card received in the mail! (With July 19 approval date)

Jan. 13, 2009: Interview Date at USCIS - Raleigh/Durham

APPROVED!!!!

We met at Cherry Blossoms also and had absolutely no problems. If you are denied it is because you didn't prove your relationship

Do you think if you met at Cherry Blossoms, or Filipinahearts your fiancee will be denied visa at interview? I hope nobody is worried about this.....They are both marriage brokers. So, your fiancee may not receive a visa. No matter how strong the love is...you both met at the wrong place. If only you met at Yahoo Personals, or Match.com instead. :crying:

No. It's not a problem.

the IMBRA law only states many things , but to sum it up in a few words : Any International Marriage Broker , is to send a Criminal Record of the American to the other party of that county . If any Criminal Record exist of that american citizen , the forighn party must sign the paper and send it back to the International Marriage Broker . Once this is done , the International Marriage Broker will release the contact information to the american citizen . So if you have the proff that a criminal background check was done on the american citizen , then there is no reason for the uscis to deny your petition . Or usembassy to deny the visa for the same reason .

Allso think of it this way , if you have no criminal record of sexual assult ( rape , domestic assult , violant crime ). That can hurt you spouse in this way , then in the USCIS stage . There is nothing to worry about being denied , by meeting through an International Marriage Broker . Can you dont have a criminal record , and they check for a criminal record on the petitioner during the processing stage of the petition .

If your petition has been approved then any and all IMBRA questions are to have been resolved. The interviewer is not suppose to readjudicate the petition.

I HOPE that's true! I remember how MUCH consternation I went throught over question 19! So, for the benefit of others that may search for this, here is MY actual answer on the I-129F, which just got APPPROVED....

We met via a German-run site, http://www.filipinokisses.com It's for men & women worldwide interested in meeting Filipinos. I answered 'YES' because I paid a fee to access contact information. The attached copies show our initial e-mail conact via the site. Subsequent contact was via our own e-mail, Yahoo Messenger, postal mail, & telephone.

I printed the actual two initial e-mails we exchanged off of the site, AND, included a copy of our profile pages showing references to having found each other.

I hope that provides some comfort to others who may be worried about it.

Moving on w/life
