I-131 Advance Parole confusion

We are accembling I-485 package including I-131 Advance Parole application. I was reading the instructions for I-131 and got really confused - under General Requirements section they request an explanation or other evidence showing the circumstances that warrant issuance on an advance parole document. We are requesting the Advance Parole "just in case" and do not have a real emergency reson to travel right now. So what should I write for this explanation? Does this mean that Advance parole is issued for emergencies only? What if we just want to travel for vacation while I-485 is pending?

Secondary, they also request a copy of the USCIS receipt as evidence that we already filed for adjustment of status. However, we are filing for I-131 concurrently with I-485 so we obviously do not have the receipt yet. How should we respond to this question?

Thank you!

Hi, we were in the same situation like you. For I-131 I didn't sent a letter which explained the reason for travel, only I put bussines. I didn't send any proof that warrant issuance; It was absurd for me paid for a form than I don't needed because I couldn't guess when can I have an emergency... So I filed I-131 in case of an emergency I don't know if it'll really helps when I'll have one.

The copy of an USCIS receipt is when you're filing the I-131 after you've sent an I-485 form. But if you're sending all the AOS package together you don't have a receipt yet.

Good luck.
