hello one_love,

I'm a K1 filer, my fiance went to the embassy on Tuesday, January 15, 2007 with a copy of NOA2, letter from NVC and his passport. They gave him both packets 3, 4 and his interview date. Packets 3 & 4, he will take back with him on his interview date. I called the State Department as well, they told me that my fiance could not go and pick-up his packets, that we would have to be patient until they were mailed to his home address, which I found out from several people here that's wasn't true.

Hope this help

Good luck1

I too am a K-1 filer, my fiance picked his packets up on Wednesday, January 16 which included packets 3 and 4. I received an email from the embassy telling me that the packets were ready for my fiance to pick up. But like I said, I am a K-1 filer.

one_love,

Ara was a K3 filer and she sent her husband to the embassy to pick up Packets 3 and 4. You are welcome to wait until they arrive, but if you send your husband to pick them up, the process will go quicker. Its your choice.

All of the documents contained in Packets 3 and 4 are government forms which can be found online. The Lagos Consulate does not require a few that some of the others require. That is the reason your husband needs to get the Packets from the Consulate. After he gets them, you can go online and complete the forms the Lagos Consulate needs to have returned the day of your husband's interview.

If you want specifics, please pm (email) Ara and she can give you specifics for K3 at Lagos.
