Is there anyway of calling the US Embassy in London to check if they:

1. Received my packets

2. Any updates on my packets/case

3. Have sent me a interview date

Thanks

Hi Everyone!

I just found this place and am glad I did!

I have the same problem too...my fiance had his medical exam and sent his packet 3 which the embassy in London received December 2nd, but we still havent heard anything back about his interview....WHY!?! Im getting frustrated because it seems like people are getting their interviews right away!!!

I called the embassy extortion line and it says lines are busy...anyone get that too? Im so mad!

If anyone else is having delays let me know so I dont start freaking out thinking its only us!

I sent an email to londonconsular@state.gov asking for confirmation that they had received my packet 3 docs etc. I also said that I was ready for an interview at their earliest convenience. Make sure you include your LND case number. I had a reply back within a couple of days with my interview date. Can't hurt and doesn't cost as much as calling :)

Don't forget you can also call the Department of State -- +1 202 663 1225. They have the same info on your case as the Extortion Line up in Scotland and it only costs the price of a call to the US, not 1.20/min. Just have your LND case number ready.

Bare in mind that some of the people who returned their packets at the same time you did, may have specified a date they were due to fly. The embassy will try to accomodate travel plans but they do not guarantee they are able to do so in all cases. This may get cases earlier interview dates than they would otherwise have received and cause it to seem like people have interviews "right away"

My P3 documents were received by them on the 10th December, with a flying date of 20th February specified. I was eligible for an interview from the 12th Dec but it took them until the 4th Jan to have an interview date (1st February) assigned to my case. Potentially coincidence... but as long as I'm approved that day, I will definitely be making my flight.

I sent an email too, but as I saw a post above, I hope they don't delete it or anything.

Did you need to enter a code or anything for them to read your email?

Hi!

Although after i sent the email I got a automatic response saying they deleted it....but just today...days later...I got a email from someone saying they received the email and my fiance will receive notice of a date soon!! How strange!! Guess it didnt delete at all so I reckon you should just take the chance and see if they write back!
