Am planning to have my early medical on Feb 5&6 (my appointment is March 3). And before I will have my medical on Feb 5, I will be attending the CFO seminar on Feb 4...

So the questions that bother my mind are:

1. Will it be ok if I just show up in CFO early monday morning and attend the seminar? Is there no reservation prior to the attendance? what are the things that I need to bring for my CFO seminar? Do they require a passport in the seminar?

2. Will it be fine if I just show up in SLEC on Feb 5&6 without any advance notice? Will they just allow me to have my medical on that day? And also what are the things that I need to bring with me for the medical? I read that I need to present the copy of my NOA2 during the medical. Is this true?:unsure::blink::unsure:

3. Can I already pay the document verification fee at the metrobank now?

4. As for the picture, is it just a passport sized picture? As far as my knowledge goes, the passport photos are now change from white background to blue. Will this be the case for my pcitures for the remainder of the process?

So far, these are the questions that I have in mind. Please help VJ family.

Answer to questions number

1. I can't help you here 'cause I am just planning to do it next week. I guess I'll just drop in. Here is the link for CFO seminar requirements: http://www.cfo.gov.ph/fs_manila.htm

2. You can have your medical sooner than your schedule. Just bring your appointment letter. They need to see your Manila case number. I have read in the past posts that NOA2 is not accepted anymore for medical. You have to bring your passport, original and photocopy of your appointment letter, 3 pcs 2x2 pictures with your full name written at the back, black pen and payment.

3. You can pay your document verification fee as soon as you know your case number cause you are going include that in your text message to delbros. Here is the link for the instructions: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfdelb.pdf

4. I brought passport size pictures for my medical and they accepted it for my PDS forms but they did not accept anymore on my second day. They required me to give them 2 pcs 2x2 picture before they gave me my vaccination sheet. I have not heard of pictures having a blue background. The packet that I got from US embassy states that i need to submit 2 pcs 2x2 photographs and must be in color, glossy and have only a white or off-white background.

So far, these are the questions that I have in mind. Please help VJ family.

Ill try to be of help to u:

Question#1:

Im not very familiar with the CFO as i havent yet taken my seminar. i plan on taking it after i recieve my visa and passport from the embassy (God willing i'd be approved). Some of the VJers advised me to just take it after i get the passport with visa so i wont have to go back for my sticker.

Take note: If u have your early medical before your CFO seminar, you wont be able to present your passport to the people at the CFO since SLEC would be the one to send your passport, together with your med exam results to the embassy for your interview.

Question#2:

You can proceed to SLEC as long as you have your appointment letter and a photocopy (either from the packet or printed from the internet), 3 pieces of 2x2 pictures and black pen...Dont go there on Mondays because it's hectice during mondays, preferrably middle of the week to avoid large crowds.

Question#3:

You can actually pay the P650 document verification fee at any metrobank branch..just follow the directions on the website regarding how to pay thru the delbros account.

Question#4:

Just bring a 2x2 picture with you. I had 3 pieces 2x2 visa format photos just to be sure...i didnt want to take any chances of any hassles and they accepted it.

LASTLY, you can visit Beng and Carl's VJ account:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=100458&hl=

which documents her experience during her medical last december....

so I still need to wait for the appointment letter? Is that included in the packet that I am waiting from the Embassy? I thought I can just present the schedules I got from the visa appointment online. I wonder when I will receive my packet with the appointment letter. what i did is i went to the SLEC just print my appointment i found in the US embassy site to request for early packet pick up , then the next day when i pick it up i go straight for medical , the SLEC packet is the same as what the packet of the embassy will be sending u, as for the CFO its better to go when u get ur visa coz u can do it in one day , just be sure u know all the info like address , zip code , b-day , cellphone nub , landline nub , office nub if have of ur bf and take not the surname of his parents ,im being asked the surname of my parents husband .

So the appointment that I got online may be presented at SLEC? So no need to wait for the packet from the Embassy? I can have my early medical then??:wacko::wacko:

Am planning to have my early medical on Feb 5&6 (my appointment is March 3). And before I will have my medical on Feb 5, I will be attending the CFO seminar on Feb 4...

So the questions that bother my mind are:

1. Will it be ok if I just show up in CFO early monday morning and attend the seminar? Is there no reservation prior to the attendance? what are the things that I need to bring for my CFO seminar? Do they require a passport in the seminar?

For the CFO Seminar, they are open Mondays to Fridays but they only have 3 sets/batches each day:10:00 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. No need to make an appointment, at PRISM they usually have 12 in each batch (15 at the most). You will need: Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph, NSO-BC, copy of your passport; Duly completed guidance and counseling form (they will provide you with the form and after that they will take your picture which is computerized); If married, certified true copy and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office (NSO), or Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO); or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate (if married abroad), Other documents as may be required by the counselors during the interview such as divorce decrees, etc... You need to be able to provide the originals and they will take the photocopies.

No need for an appointment when going to SLEC for the medical. If you already have an appointment letter, you only need to bring that one, with your passport and photo ID's. If you don't have the appointment letter yet, a copy of the schedule from USEM website or a copy of your NOA2 will suffice. If you have prior surgery, you may need your medical certificate (if they ask for it), and if you can provide your Immunization record, then bring that as well.

3. Can I already pay the document verification fee at the metrobank now? YES, just follow their instructions on how to pay at Metrobank.

4. As for the picture, is it just a passport sized picture? As far as my knowledge goes, the passport photos are now change from white background to blue. Will this be the case for my pcitures for the remainder of the process?

For the medical, they need 2X2 ID picture (bring at least 3). And you may want to write your name and MNL# on the back of the picture.

So far, these are the questions that I have in mind. Please help VJ family.

About the Document Verification..

Can I pay now even if my case hasn't forwarded to the USEM Manila?

Well I already know my Interview date because its set by the NVC..

How would Delbros Identify me? Even If I have a Case #, but my case is not @ USEM yet..

I know the right time is 2 weeks, But some has suggested 3 weeks before..

Please Advice..

If the NVC completed your case 2 weeks ago and set the appintment, the embassy has your case now. Regardless, you are identified by the case number and it's going to take some time to verify the documents. I think the more time you give them, the better it is.

Thank you for all your replies...

I also got one more question though. Will it be fine to have the medical more than a month before your scheduled interview? I read from someone's post that if you are to have your medical more than a month before your scheduled interview, there is a possibility that the Consulate might ask you to have another Medical appointment. SO please help me on this thing, as I got plans on having my early medical appointment on Feb 5&6, while my nterview is March 10.

Any answer will be greatly appreciated...
