Just letting ya know that I finally received my AP yesterday. DHL don't know their #### from their elbow because they told me that it needed my signature (and I called and talk to 2 different people who told me this)....but it was just left on my door step. So I could have gone to England on Sunday and have gotten a neighbour to send it to me.

Oh well....at least I have it now!!!

That just made me feel nauseated. I can't imagine how you feel, JandC. There really does need to be an overhaul of the K-1 process after arrival and marriage in the US. It's inhumane.

I know I have to give my K1 entry I-94 up when I leave the country....and I have taken copies of it for my files....I'm just worried that if I have an interview and they ask for it...i wont have it and that will cause a problem (even with evidence of traveling etc)

Just for my peace of mind....I do hand it in before I leave the country, right? I'm just being over careful....God knows I need to be!

Looks like upon re-entry, the officer asked him if he had a copy of his AOS application - at least the NOA1. May not hurt to take yours (just in case).

What total sheit! Do you happen to have the names of the two people who told you that a signature was needed before you could take posessio of this package? If so, I would be calling DHL to officially lodge a complaint. It was because your uncertainty caused in part by their misinformation that you changed your travel plans.....and then they just drop the package on your doorstep?

Glad you have AP now, though. Have a safe trip.

I entered the US on Sep 29th 07 and my I-94 expired on Dec 28th 07. I have my NOA1 and marriage cert ready to take with me...though I didn't plan on taking my whole AOS application....I would have thought the NOA1 would be enough. Better safe than sorry though.

Sadly I didn't catch the names of the DHL people....I was far too stressed to care about that at the time LOL Though now I wish I had noted them. Oh well....its not like they would give me the money I spent to change my flights anyway. I'm just glad its all sorted now and I can fly to England and finally grieve.

I don't *think* they'll need your I 94 since your status is no longer derived from it. Maybe ask the guy in that other thread if they took his upon departure, though.
