The day of my interview is going to come soon (hopefully!!!). I have a big package i gonna take with me, carrying everything in there in originals. But there are 2 things we do not have originals from (just copies), due to my fiance being weird about keeping his paperwork straight: His 2 divorce-decrees are only existing in copies...Do u think that will cause any problems in Frankfurt during the interview ???????????????????? :help:

If you are the beneficiary, (which it sounds like you are) the consulate is only looking for orginal documents that pertain to you specifically. So, it sounds like you are fine! Good luck with the interview!

FieneBiene: Worst case scenario is, that the consulate will want to see the originals and simply delay issuance of your K1 until you can provide them.

But like said above, I also don't think you need them. When I had my K1 interview my dearest at-that-time-fiance failed to send me some originals as well (regarding the I-134) and it was just fine.

FYI: If someone in Frankfurt wants to see originals that would mean, your fiance will have to send those papers directly to the consulate and after taking a look at them they will mail your passport with the visa in it to you. If he can't find/doesn't have originals he could go to the Courthouse and get a certified copy of them. They also accept those applications via mail. You only have to pay a small fee. That would work well instead of providing originals.

It might also be possible that someone at USCIS later on in the AOS process might want to see originals or certified copies of those divorce decrees.
