Hello my fellow HCMC Journey men and women. My fiancee's father went to the Department of Justice in Hanoi this week to ask about the Police certificate and single status papers, since my fiancee must work from 8:00 am to 7:pm during these past few weeks. They told him they are out of these papers, and that the police certificate will have a new form. They told him they will get the new forms soon, but no date given. So what should she do? I guess the only thing she can do is wait. I hope I understood her correctly and if so, make sure that those of you going thru HCMC gets the new form.

I wish I can be there to explain to her better what she needs. I will give her the consulates phone number tonight and she will call them to make sure that she does everything right.

Interesting news Mike.

My fiancee didn't have any trouble requesting her police certificate in Can Tho. They told her to come back in 15 working days to pick it up. As for the single status paper, she obtained that the same day from the government office of her registered ward. The police certificate had to be requested at the DOJ office in Can Tho City.
