Hello Everyone,

I thinking about doing the k1 process to bring my girlfriend over to get marry. I have a couple of questions.

First let me give you some information.

She lives in the Dominican Repunlic and has 1 year old son, who is also coming.

Questions

1. When filling out the paper work for the G-325A and passport style photo of Beneficiary, can I fill it out for her or will i have to send it to her and have her mail it back to me?

2. Would i need to get any information or documents to her son can also come with her or just getting hers will guaratteed that he will get a visa also?

3. Would I have to get a letter of her saying that we are thinking about getting marry or mines would just be fine?

1. There must be an original signature on the beneficiary's G-325A........all four pages.

2. List any children on the I-129F, but you are not filing a petition for any children. The beneficiary will apply for a K-2 visa for any children.

3. You both need to submit a letter of intent to marry.

I have another question

her father who is a resident started the visa process so she can come here. She only got a letter and nothing else.

Can i still file for the k1 visa even though her father is also doing the paper work for another type of visa? or would her father need to stop his for me to start with the k1?

Thanks

I recall another member having the same issue and from memory was told by USCIS that it wouldn't affect the petition. However this is also the 'misinformation line'. IMO as there would be a match once in the system it may cause an issue or a delay of some sort. Perhaps another member will know something more concrete.
