I am overwhelmed...first time filer

I am completely overwhelmed...I know this should be easy, but every time I go to the USCIS to see what information I need to send with the I-129F, I can never get a pdf file to display...and EVERYTHING is on a pdf file...

The flowchart and timeline are great, but it doesn't show the documentation info there either...I'm just trying to get the ball rolling with the first round of paperwork, and I'm getting scared about the upcoming rounds...

For example....

1.) What additional things (besides the actual form) do I need for the initial filing?

2.) When does the police report need to be acquired?

3.) Can the medical exam be done in the States on a visit?

Plus, if there are any people on the site who have gone through this process with a UKC, I would really like to hear your experiences!!!

Thank you so much,

Dawn

2- after your petition is approved.

3- i don't think so.

hang around in the forums (k-1, united kingdom mostly at first), read the guides, & relax a little if you can. you've found "the site" you need to get you thru this process. you'll find many people here more than willing to help you out.

Two things I would recommend in relation to not being able to open the pdf files.

First download the latest version of reader here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

If you are still having a problem opening them, after that is installed, instead of just clicking on the file to open it, right click on it and choose 'save target as'. Then just save it to your desktop for instance and try opening it there by double clicking on it.
