I had a not so funny experience to say the least at one med center to rush for my medicals before the other and final med appt. (wrongly informed, then went there, waited hours) for nothing. I got out from there trembling with confusion.

Then at the last minute I was at another med center (late this evening) and got at least an x-ray prescription for tomorrow. That dr was wonderfully professional, saying what he can or not do, of what is of his competence or not. And, surprise, actually big surprise, refering me to another of his collegues, specialist of immigration. him and the nurse told me that not only 2 med centers are designated for immigration and she named me one other. I repeated my question, are you sure, etc...are they on the consulates list? she said she didin't know but they have the stamp on their licence..etc...if i understood correctly. I remember that VJ and the instructions for preparation for the medical, it's only stated the 2 med centers we all know.

My situation is that i'm in such rush to try to figure out how to advanced the most possible to do my tests in the last 2 days remaining before the hollidays that i'm stunned to hear that...i could've try it before and especially they are located near my home...what a waste of time...

Anybody heard of that? i'm really confused now...

I'm so sorry that you're getting all this conflicting info. There are many doctors in Toronto that are able to do the medicals for many countries but the US only recognizes two: Dr Seit (at Medisys) and Dr. Seiden. That's it. I have the list from the consulate (November) and that's it. Medisys or Seiden & Associates. Hope this helps!!!!

That nurse or reception lady asked to ask the Consulate for the complete list of doctors. Who knows...But, having all this bad experiences now at dfferent medical centers...i booked with Seiden that I chose (by just comparing his website with the one of Medysis), the lady was great and explained to me what i need and not...so it seems that for now, the much serious tests i thought i have to do, are not necessary...i'm very relieved now. Thanks for the reply!!!!

Hi - definitely look for info on VJ, Dr Seiden was great when I went to him last April.

This whole immigration process is full of people who want to help, but end up providing misinformation (like at the Dr's offices) so you need to know what you're after, other wise they'll just confuse you :)

Are you still waiting for your interview? If so, you're not in that much of a rush anyway, correct?

Thanks for the support. Yes, i'm waiting for the interview and very in late with the medical, that's why i was freaking about it...what if any "complications" at the medical.( i had a weakenss in the past i'm worried about)

I didn't call primarly at the designated dr. because i thought from reading here and there that i have to present all my medical background with official papers...or records, before..which i didn't/couldn't have, as i've explained in the other thread...But i should've done it 1st...that lady was a doll...Still, we'll see at the real appt...

The other drs offices experiences were strange....: i was asking basic stuff, even phoning before going, they made me come and wait for hours, for nothing...1 of them bassically got himself into a crisis slaming the door saying he didn't understand nothing what i was saying...very very strange people...and/ or misinformating me...as you also sensed it....
