Hi all,

We sent back the checklist and DS-230 a few weeks ago now and have phoned the Dept. of State every day...but still no date. Has anyone with a similar timeline to me gotten their date yet? I'm concerned that something has gotten lost!!

Edited to add: we'd be happy to phone the extortion line, but we're both in the US and staying put until the interview!

Have you used the timeline search feature? http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/

It might help you figure out the waiting times! Good luck, L.

Thank you, I *do* know that the timeline feature is there. However London is notoriously mercurial with their times and so that data can be accurate one moment and completely skewed the next - hence me asking for personal experience, not just collated data.

I can't believe you still don't have a date! Is there anyone in the UK you could ask to contact the extortion line on your behalf? That way you could get the special code to email thee embassy about the situation.

I hope you hear something soon! Good luck!

We did - I had my mate Laura call up and pose as me last week. Everything is in, we just haven't been scheduled!

Gwen,

I'm in the same boat as you at the moment :( London received all of the relevant paperwork and checklist on the 10th December. DOS confirmed this to Josh when he phoned to check. There was no further update on our petition on Christmas Eve (I actually phoned the extortion line that time  ) and we will be trying again with DOS later today. The nice guy on the extortion line told me that London can take 1 month from receiving all the paperwork to even schedule an interview date.. oh well, a month is up in just over a weeks time.

*resumes counting*

It took 22 days from when we sent the P3 back to getting P4, and we didn't have any holidays intervening. I was also freaking out (I recently re-read my posts from back then, and as Morrissey once said, I can smile about it now but at the time it was terrible! ), asking if people getting K1s and K3s got their dates more quickly than IR1/CR1s and losing it left, right, centre and just about everywhere in between. I know you'll hate me saying this, but just hang in there a bit longer -- people will be coming back to work properly on Monday, and things will begin to come back to normal. In the meantime, vent! We're here for you. (L)
