Hi! Just wondering my fiance is from the UK and I am from the US. Just wondering when you need the foreign applicants birth certificate? I know it doesn't say that you need it in the first packact, but I thought I read that you COULD put it in if you want. Just wondering if we need it towards the end, just at the interview or what??

Thanks for any help?!

For the interview.

And, you'll need it to marry, for SSN, State ID (if applicable), a DL.................

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Hi :)

Although it doesn't ask for it in the initial package, many include it anyway. There have been some instances on here where people have received an RFE (Request Further Evidence) because the beneficiaries birth certificate was NOT included. Stupid I know, but hey, they can do what they want.

We put mine in ours.

You will need it for the interview too.

Best of luck to you!

Yeah, you will need it for the interview at the consulate (if you provide a copy with the original they will most likely give you the original back) and again later on in the process of filing for AOS and as mentioned above for alot of other documents in the US, so tell your fiance to bring a couple of extra ones ;)

We did not submit the beneficiary's birth certificate with the I-129F petition.
