Hi all,

I am unsure how to answer this question ?

Background : I lived and worked in the USA under an L1-A visa from 2002 to 2005. As part of this process a petition was prepared for my behalf... The L1-A is non-immigrant visa...

I am now in the K1 process... is that considered differently as I plan to move there to get married and relocate.

So do I answer yes or no.

Thanks in advance...

beko,

Question 36 is:

36. Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf? (options of Yes or No)

Based on what you said, select NO.

Your response is not considered 'differently' because you're applying for a K1.

Thanks karen & Otto,

Thanks for the response... what still has me confused is that the L1-A is non-immigrant visa as you are going to work for a defined peroid of time and then return to your home country.... Is the K1 treated differently (immigrant) visa as you are going permanently....

I had companies legal teams petition for my L1 in the past ?

So should i view this question from an '' immigrant visa'' perspective only ?

FYI - The K1 is a non-immigrant visa.

As for the question - you should simply view it as a stand-alone (and pretty black & white) question, you either have or have not had someone file an immigrant visa petition for you...

Because it (L1-A Visa) is a non-immigrant visa - and the question is asking about immigrant visas.. you should be listing your L1-A under question 30
