Phone call... from the US Embassy in Kingston

I recently scheduled my fiancé and his son's medical appointment in Kingston at Andrews Hospital. While on the phone the lady told me to have my fiancé bring passport 4 photos each immunization record, medical report for his son who has cerebral palsy money of course and the appointment letter from the embassy. His appointment is next Friday. I asked if they would take the receipt with the appointment date on it from the visa application and she said No she needs appointment letter. I then emailed the embassy to please send me a copy of the appointment letter. I received the response. Use the receipt. I emailed again and stated that Andrews said they needed an appointment letter. My fiancé calls me today and said that the embassy called him to tell him to use the receipt as confirmation for his interview date. Sigh. he has to travel 3.5 hours to Andrews with his son. I swear I hope they take it. it clearly states on the instructions they sent in packet 3 to have the appointment letter. Has anyone used the receipt from the Visa application at Andrews and had no issues?

Yes Andrews has accepted receipts before in the recent past. I would take the email from the embassy that says "use the receipt" along with the receipt.

My fiancé had his medical in July and we used the receipt and the email and it was fine.

My fiancé had his medical on July 3, 2015 and I emailed the embassy and they stated the same thing. He went to the medical with the receipt and email from embassy. They will not deny him, he will be fine with that.

We used the receipt, we never got an appointment letter.
