I submitted the corrected information to the NVC on March 11, 2015 and they scanned it on March 13, 2015. I sent an expedite request to the NVC on March 11, 2015 and it was granted on March 23, 2015 due to medical complications with my pregnancy and financial hardship. The NVC sent the package to the embassy on March 24, 2015. I have no idea when it was received, though I'm assuming it was March 29,2015. I got an email from the embassy April 5, 2015 (Easter morning) informing me that my husband's interview is scheduled for April 9, 2015...we knew only 4 days before his interview! We are excited but nervous at the same time! :) My husband's interview went very well at the embassy, his appointment was at 1:30pm and I got a call from him at 3pm saying that he was approved for his visa! :D My husband told me that he walked in and gave someone his papers and he waited in a room while they were being reviewed, and then had his fingerprints taken, then was taken to have his face to face interview with an officer. The officer was very nice with him and spoke with him for about five minutes just asking how we met and where we met and like how we fell in love. Then, she said to him congratulations and you are approved. He was given a congratulations paper with instructions on how to get your passport back when the visa is printed and then a paper from UPS with a tracking number on it. You can choose to pick your passport up in the UPS post in Algiers, or the UPS will mail it to a post near to your home (he chose to pick it up at the UPS post in Algiers to avoid the risk of it getting lost or taking a long time). They do give you a tracking number for your package, but in our experience the number NEVER worked when we entered it online. They give you a number that you can call to reach the UPS....CALL THE NUMBER every day after your visa says "issued" on the CEAC website! The "congratulations" letter says that the UPS will call you when it's ready...yeah don't wait for that call! The CEAC website said 2 days ago (April 2, 2015) that the visa was issued, and today (April 4, 2015) it is at the post ready to be picked up, and we would have had no idea if my husband did not call. :) We are very excited that he has his visa and even more excited that he will be in America with me during the birth of our first son (due on May 23, 2015) :) He is buying his plane ticket today, and his POE date in America will be April 24, 2015! We are so so happy! :D 2015-04-14
