I live in the United State of America while at the mean time I am a Green Card Holder. I got married to my cousin and our marriage took place in Libya. I visited my husband in Libya and we enjoyed our time together, and then I traveled back to USA because I was a student at California State University and I had classes to attend so I can graduate. At the same, I am a very hard working women who lives her life independently and it was very difficult decision to make by deciding to live in Libya with my husband and losing my Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. However, I made the decision to get my degree and continue to work. As a matter of fact, the corruption and the war in Libya put my life and brain in risk for just thinking to move were my husband live. I applied the form I-130 and got the approved of my petition August 13, 2015, and then the CIS send my approved petition to National Visa Center (NVC) as all the process went smooth even though it took times. Hello every one
I like to share my experience as it was very helpful to read all the reviews here
we as at Cairo embassy 7:30 line was already formed and we waited till we got to the door as line was moving in acceptable speed (there was two lines one for immigration and one for others)
we did not see the need to be super early and as other said stay on the other side of street and run when they call for the line !!
most important to have ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS and they will ask for the shipping/carrier document your photos and ask to leave any electronic device outside of the embassy (power bank, cable, USB drive ...)
we got in and have been searched
then you go down to another big room, you get number and wait
you will be called for first time
asked a couple of questions (how did we meet, how long have been married)
will ask your for documents if needed (if they emailed you about missing document before the intervie... read complete review

We had our interview today. I say we because I came to Egypt to be part of it with my fiancé. There was a woman outside who checked to make sure each person had their copy of their appointment verification that states that Aramex was paid or something. They want to make sure you sent packet 3 by Aramex and you paid your appointment fee before they let you in. Then you go in and give them your cell phone, lighter or any prohibited item. You can’t bring in electronics, so leave them home. You have to go through a metal detector. It’s not a big deal, but ladies, an underwire bra will set it off. We went in got a number and got called to see the one lady after 20 minutes. She took his passport, divorce paper, original military paperwork, two 2’ by 2’ photos and birth certificate. She took his biometrics, which was good, no mess ink fingerprinting. We then sat down and waited another half hour to forty minutes and then were called to see the actual consular officer. He ... read complete review

Young American man asked me how we met and how we keep in touch. I brought in pictures and he looked at all of them and actually seemed to enjoy them. We had a nice conversation actually. Then he congratulated me.
