My K1 Visa interview experience at the US Embassy in Manila was great overall. I arrived at the embassy around 6:30 AM for my 8:00 AM appointment. The wait time outside was approximately 1.5 hours before being let into the building. Once inside, the process moved smoothly through security screening and document verification.
After submitting my documents at the initial window, I waited about 45 minutes before being called for my actual interview. The consular officer was professional and friendly, which helped calm my nerves.
The interview questions asked were straightforward: How did you and your petitioner meet? How long have you been in a relationship? Have you met in person, and how many times? What does your petitioner do for work? Where do you plan to live in the US? Have you been married before? Do you have any children? The officer also asked to see photos of us together and asked about our future wedding plans.

My K-1 Visa interview at the US Embassy in Manila was a great experience overall. I arrived at the embassy around 7:00 AM for my 8:00 AM appointment. The wait time was approximately 2 hours from arrival to the actual interview, which included document verification at the window, payment of the visa fee, and waiting for my number to be called.
The embassy was well-organized and the staff were professional and courteous. When my number was finally called, I approached the interview window and was greeted by a friendly consular officer.
The interview itself lasted about 10 minutes. The officer asked me the following questions:
1. How did you meet your fiancé?
2. When did you first meet in person?
3. How many times have you met in person?
4. How do you communicate with each other?
5. What are your plans after arriving in the United States?
6. Where do you plan to get married?
7. What does your fiancé d... read complete review

I was shocked I prepare everything but the consul never asked for any documents or supporting documents. He's nice and friendly.

Regarding the consulate, it was nerve racking but good. It felt like a DMV, with the wait being one of the most difficult parts. Inside the consulate, one could hear other interviewees going through their processes, and in some cases hearing their stories. Approval rate was something like 60/40, some people getting approved on the spot, others getting rejected on the spot.
Regarding the interview, it went really well and smoothly. Only a few questions were asked, it appears like the interviewer was looking for reactions to questions, and the demeanor of the our answers rather than the actual answers themselves. Interviewer was friendly and made the process relatively enjoyable.
