am i making it complicated??

i have dual citizenship (US and filipino) i went to college in the Philippines 1998...... my best friend introduced me to her brother (now my fiance) weve been together ever since but didnt think of getting married back then because we were still studying.. but now im done and so is he.. so thats a total of almost 9 1/2 years of being together...

jan 2006 i went back to the US to work..

sept 2006 i went back to the Philippines --- of course i spent time with him

dec 2006 he proposed..

jan 2007 i went back here to the US

now heres my question.. in the I-129 form.. it asks to describe how we met within 2 years...

do i put the exact year of when we met which was 1998?

or my last trip to the Philippines??

04-1998 his sister/ my friend introduced us to each other..

04-24-1998 got together as boyfriend and girlfriend..

........... 8 YEARS AND 8 MONTHS LATER...............

12-23-2006 he proposed in baguio city philippines.. of course i said YES!!!

01-09-2007 back to US

07-06-2007 mailed I-129F packet

07-09-2007 I-129F delivered (Laguna Niguel)

07-07-2007 NOA1

waiting ... waiting.... waiting....

11-10-2007 - February 5, 2008 went to the Philippines

12-17-2007 NOA2

02-18-2008 mailed him necessary documents

02-21-2008 he passed the local nursing boards... wooohooo :)

02-22-2008 he received the package

02-26-2008 schedule of his physical

02-272008 continuation of his physical

03-02-2008 MY BIRTHDAY...

03-04-2008 INTERVIEW DATE!!!!!! PASSED IT... WOOOHOOOOO

03-26-2008 visa delivered.... FINALLY!!!!!!!!

03-27-2008 got plane ticket...

04-01-2008 CFO

04-11-2008 U.S. arrival

04-24-2008 CIVIL WEDDING /OUR 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

04-25-2008 file SSN

I think you should basically state what you listed. I know you only have a small space to write these things in; say that you've met while attending college and have been together since 1998 and then say that your most recent visit with him was 4 months from Sept. 2006 - Jan. 2007.

well what you want to is describe all the times you have meet each other in the last 2 years all they need to know is that u have meet face to face in the last 2 years what i did also is too digital pictures of my passport one where your picture is and the took pictures of the philippine stamp when u entered had no problems and mine went thru what some people would consider hell the CSC good luck just to give you and idea of the time frame this takes i applied in january and my fiance interview is august 4

thanks reeses16 and de7wcc... were about to send our I-129 visa application..and just want to be prepared for everything... kinda hurts my head sometimes thinking.. hehehe

Its easy, but you may find it easier to include a separate sheet. Tell how you originally met, and provide evidence and description for your last meeting. Its up to you to describe any other meetings, its not necessary.

studying in the Philippines for 5 years (i have dual citizenship) wont be a problem when we apply for the fiance visa right?? i read about US recognizing dual citizenship and is ok with it... anyone ever read about not being able to stay long in another country if you dual citizenship?? :help::help::help::help:

I met my fiance 15 years ago. He (USC) attached another sheet describing how we met and indicating our meeting in the last two years. He also attached a photocopy of boarding tickets, hotel receipts and our pictures together.
