can I update DS 160 application ID/passport number at "ustraveldocs" after making an appointment?

Hi, 

 

I will need to schedule an appointment for me an my wife with the US embassy as soon as possible. My wife will renew her passport after I schedule the appointment, can I update her new passport number then? Can I update any information on "ustraveldocs" after scheduling the appointment?

No, you cannot amend it. 

 

But I guess that if she takes the old passport and the new passport, there should not be a problem.

Hi!

 

Can I emend the passport expiration date instead of passport number?

 

I'll get an extension on the same passport and it's just a sticker adding more validity to it, the only information changing will be the expiration date.

 

Or at least, can I use my current passport information (even with less than 6 months of validity) and have the passport with the validity extension for the interview date? Thanks!
